14 Bridges, 33 miles – Thames Bridges Bike Ride

Last year staff, customers and friends took part in the Thames Bridges Bike Ride to raise money for The Stroke Association and to have a good day cycling over the major London Bridges. It was such fun that most of us are doing it again this year.

Why do it Again?

Because it was a good day out. If you like a bit of cycling, would like to see London’s Riverfront without the ever present risk of getting run-over and would like to be part of something worthwhile and fun then this is for you. Not forgetting that last year the weather was sunny all day with great burgers and beer at the end.

I Like the Sound of This, How do I Get Involved?

Very simply go over to The Stroke Association and register online. You have to raise a minimum amount to cover the costs of organising the event (don’t stop at the minimum). The organisers are great and make sure that marshalls are available to keep you on the right route, but even if you ignore them and take a wrong turn (like some of us did last year) just look across the river and you will see a few hundred cyclist you can aim for at the next crossing.

It’s all for Charity!

As it’s a great Charity for each picture of one of us (with or without you) posted on this blog I will add £5 to the GasBoilerParts.co.uk participants sponsorship. I will post more info closer to the time so check back often!

Cheers,

Paul (The Gas Boiler Parts Team)
